The Main Entry Page and color scheme of the program has changed.   The background of the pages and field colors has changed.  For many forms you can now "choose" your own colors for fields:   To see this feature go to the Preferences notepage of the Setup form.

Envelopes:   The font sizes have been increased to 12 pt Arial on many of the envelope printouts.

New Report:  Current Case List for a particular Client:  Right-clicking the Client area allows for opening the Current Case List for a Client.   There is a new button on that form for Printing the Case List.  The Cases printed reflects the View settings (Opened Cases or All cases) and the Date Range settings.

Below are the details of the improvements to the individual forms.

Version 5.4 Cases Form:

Subject notepage:

Subject Auto Search:  This has been changed from fields at the bottom of the notepage to a button at the top of the notepage.  Pressing the "Subject Auto Search" button will bring up a pop up form for Case selection by Subject name or Case number. A more elegant stylish approach was achieved.

Incident notepage:

Vehicle Data:  There is now the option to have multiple vehicles per case.  Below is the new look. 

 

New button: Press this button to insert a new vehicle into the table. 

Clear Lock button:  In normal operation as the mouse is moved over the top part of the table( Make and Model) the information in the bottom right (License #, Color, etc.) will change dynamically.  This is so one does not have to click each record.    In order to "Lock" a particular record just click on the desired one.   The information displayed with stay on that record, for editing, viewing.   The Clear Lock button will appear along with the blue right pointer to indicated highlighted record.   Press the Clear Lock to remove the display lock on the record.

Delete button: Press this button to Delete the highlighted vehicle record.   A confirmation will be displayed.

Preferences notepage:

Case Numbering Setup:    A Change button has been added to allow changing the current case number value for Default and LEF numbering.   For instance, if the current Case numbers are in the 1000 range and it was desired to start cases at 4000 this can be accomplished using the Change button. Duplicate numbers are not allowed for cases and the program automatically searches for the next available unique number.  For example,  if the current Case number is 1245 (cases 1000-1245 present) and the Current Case Number is changed back to 1000, then the next time the New Case button is pressed  the program will display 1246 as the next available case number.

Version 5.4 Clients Form:

Client Filtering:  A new feature has been added that allows for Clients that are not utilized often to be ignored or hidden from normal view.   This is of benefit when assigning Clients to cases.   This feature is best seen on the Client List notepage.  At the top right on the Toolbar is a new drop-down field for selecting Client Views.  The far left column has check boxes.   A check in results in the Client being "ignored" when assigning to Cases.  Further, with the drop-down edit box one can select to either:  1. Hide "Ignored" Clients (They are hidden on the Client form too);   2. Show All Clients, or  3. View Only "Ignored" Clients (useful for cases where one wishes to quickly find a Hidden Client and unCheck their hidden status.

Version 5.4 Timelog Form:

Expenses  notepage: 

There is now the option to "Reset" the Categories for a particular Case. When a case is created the Category settings shown on the Preferences notepage are set for the case.   If the Category definitions were changed there was no easy way to change them for a current case.   When the Cata column is right-clicked a new menu selection is available:   Set Categories for this Case to Current Values.

Four Additional User defined Category fields are available.  This is shown here and on the Invoice reports.

Version 5.4 Invoice Processing Form:

Invoice Display notepage: 

View Billing History:  This is a new feature.  Each time an Invoice is printed a Time Stamp entry is made into the Billing History table.    This table is Viewable by pressing the "View Billing History" button on the top Toolbar.   This is a toggle button -- makes the Billing History table visible/not visible.  Once the Billing History table is visible any entry can be deleted by right-clicking it and selecting: "Delete Billing History entry."   

Version 5.4 Invoice Tracking Form:

Tracking notepage:

Invoice Select Buttons:  Another set of select buttons were placed below the Payment History table to provide a quick way to select Invoices.

Preferences notepage: 

Two additional Confirms:   1) Confirm Invoice Payment Deletes.  2) Confirm Invoice Payment Changes.    In normal operation each time a Payment record is changed or deleted a Dialog box appears asking to confirm operation.  There is now the option to enable/ disable those dialog boxes from appearing.

Version 5.4 Setup Form:

Network notepage: 

Once a proper Network Key is entered the system can be configured for Network operation.  On the top right is the "Network Configuration" button. Pressing this button will bring up the Network Configuration Utility.   A series of steps are shown.  Follow the Instructions to configure your system for network operation.

System notepage: 

Network Operation:  For Network Users there is a new Network Key. Entering the proper Key will allow for Network configuration.   

Copy "Authentication" Information to Clipboard button:   This new button allows for easy pasting of Authentication information into an email.   Once this button is pressed one can right-click and select Paste in the message area of an email to have the Authentication information placed there.

Preferences notepage: 

Field & Table Color Settings: Users now can set the field colors for many of the various forms fields and tables.   Each form can have its own color settings.
